Leading business organisation Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year – and to mark the milestone will be holding several events and competitions in 2023.
The first event is a primary schools art competition, sponsored by Sunbelt Rentals.
The competition is open to all primary school children in West Cumbria. Prizes include a school engagement session complete with diggers, dumpers, and other exciting equipment to explore.
A team of six Sunbelt Rentals employees will also support a day of volunteering at your school, to help you with any gardening, painting and decorating projects.

A key focus area of our sustainability strategy at Sunbelt Rentals is to develop and support local skills, education and employment. Our teams from the area are looking forward to helping the winning school, good luck to everyone who takes part!”
Activities for secondary students, apprentices, graduates and youth groups, in collaboration with BECBC member businesses will be held throughout the year and BECBC members will be laying on several Dinners for 20 during which they will raise money for local charities.
The anniversary will also be marked with a barbecue celebration in the summer for all BECBC members and their families.
Dianne Richardson, CEO of BECBC, said: “BECBC has been part of the business environment in Cumbria and the wider North for two decades. As such our members have always placed great value on engaging and giving back to the wider community. It is important to us to be active members in our society.”
