Sixth form students at St Bees School took on a challenge to create lessons for youngsters from the West Cumbrian village.
Year six pupils from St Bees Village School visited and year 12 and 13 students delivered PE lessons to the younger children. The lessons included volleyball, hockey, and badminton.
St Bees School teacher Zoe Bettinson said: “I was really proud of them; the atmosphere they created was exemplary, it really was a joy to watch.
“It is such a lovely feeling to give students the reins and to give them the confidence to teach and encourage their younger peers.
“The year six group left with more knowledge about badminton, volleyball and hockey and lots of smiles!”
Sixth formers are hoping to get more involved with the village school students and their PE lessons next year, as well as involving them in International Languages Day which will be celebrated in the school.
