Cockermouth Live! is returning for 2023 – and organisers promise it will be bigger and better than ever.
This year will be the 14th event – and the three-day event, from June 30 to July 2, will feature dozens of performances across the town.
Organisers have already booked Edward II, an eight-piece reggae band, to headline the Saturday night, but also want to hear from local artists who would like to perform across te weekend.
They are aiming to put on more performances and give acts slightly longer sets, plus expand Sunday’s programme – including Cockermouth Community Orchestra.
Chris Bridgman, chair of Cockermouth Live!, said: “With a refreshed steering group, we’re delighted to be expanding the festival, responding to the enthusiasm of audiences and performers alike – we’ve already had local performers anxious to know when they can sign up.
“It’s shaping up to be a packed weekend, with a rich range of activities across a wide variety of venues – including performances at Cockermouth Castle on both the Saturday and Sunday.”
