Workington Reds contest the NPL West Division’s Match of the Day today – and are well up for it.
Reds travel to Leek Town for what is a 2nd versus 3rd contest with the Cumbrians trailing their hosts by three points.
Workington Reds’ Dany Grainger said: “These are the games that you really look forward to. We have trained well and everyone is excited about the game.
“We go there in good form particularly as our last two performances were first class.
“I want the same tomorrow and the fact we are playing on a big pitch, which is artificial will suit us.
“To be honest I was disappointed that we only drew with them at home because it was a game we dominated,
“Having said that Leek are a very good team with top players so it’s going to be tough but I’m looking forward to seeing us take it on.”
Grainger will have the same players available as the ones who produced an excellent performance and result last week, beating Newcastle Town 3-0.
Cieran Casson is nearing full fitness and Ben Hughes continues to make progress.
“Cieran trained with us this week and is getting nearer but I think this game might have come just a little too soon but we will assess him beforehand,” said Grainger.
