Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted burglary in a Lake District town on Thursday.
It took place on Sweden Bridge Lane, Ambleside, at around 5.40pm.
Nothing was taken during the incident. Entry was forced to the property.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5ft 6ins, medium build and was wearing a blue jacket and black gloves. They were seen running from the area towards Kirkstone Road, around the time of the incident.
Police are asking for anyone who was driving in the area at the time to check dashcams and for anyone who resides in the area to check any CCTV/ring doorbell footage.
