It was Egremont 2, Workington 1 in the Sunday County Cup Inter-League clashes.
But the fourth West Cumbria tie was an all-Workington League affair so both Leagues will have two representatives each in the quarter-finals.
Tightest of the three Inter League games was at Aspatria where Sun Inn Athletic and Lowca Pirates had to go to extra time to settle it with the Egremont League side coming out on top 3-1.
It was Sun Inn who opened the scoring, albeit against the run of play, with an excellent header from Flynn Charter, but the real star of the show was young Sun Inn keeper Ben Gordon who pulled off some outstanding, and brave, saves in the first half.
In the second half, Lowca brought on Owen Woodburn and Travis Fyfe, and immediately had the fire power up front to keep Sun Inn mostly pinned down in their own half.

Fyfe equalised after a powerful run on goal; Lowca had two goals disallowed, and Gordon pulled off yet more saves as Sun Inn held on and the game went into extra time.

It took a late close range shot from Shane Tyson in the Sun Inn box to give Lowca the lead, and in the final five minutes, a clever free kick from Aaron Wynd put the result beyond doubt.

FC Cosmos were the other Egremont League winners when they beat Salterbeck 5-1 in the morning kick-off.
Max Litt scored the Salterbeck consolation against a very good Cosmos side.
Workington champions Northside didn’t have it all their own way against Moresby Rangers but they got through 3-1.
Tommy Whitehead, Chad Grisedale and Callum Killick scored the Northside goals.
The other all-Workington League tie was a tight affair in which Dearham just got the better of Maryport Athletic 3-2.
Veteran Steven Stoddart grabbed two of the Dearham goals with Jack Brown collecting the other. Lewis Mattinson scored both for Maryport Athletic.
In the east of the county all four ties were relatively decisive with none of the losing teams managing a goal in response.

Holders Inter Pirelli beat Museum Inn 3-0; Denton Holme thumped Harraby Catholic 6-0; Brampton won 3-0 at Northbank and Scotby beat Longtown 4-0.
There were also two games in the Workington Sunday League – of contrasting fortunes.
Deer Orchard were too strong for Seaton Rangers and won 8-0 at Wakefield Road but Flimby and Sun Inn couldn’t be separated and drew 3-3.
Ben Wright led the way for Orchard with a hat-trick and also on target were Luke Harrison (2), Connor Hammill, Mike Graham and Lewis Horsley.
Scott Underwood was the day’s other hat-trick hero, scoring all of Flimby’s goals in the draw with Sun Inn for whom Mally Graham (2) and Matty Prior replied.
There are five League games planned for this Sunday in the Workington League – Deer Orchard v Rangers; Flimby Social v Sun Inn Athletic; Maryport Athletic v Blue Bell; Northside v Dearham; Sun Inn v Senhouse Street.
