Cleator Moor Celtic suffered their second successive 3-0 home defeat to stay bottom of NW Counties Division One North.
But this time Celtic boss Brian Dawson had no complaints about the defeat to Chadderton, unlike Tuesday’s loss to AFC Blackpool.
“Chadderton are a decent team, probably one of the best we’ve faces this season if I’m honest,” said Dawson.
Celtic had started brightly enough but an individual mistake on 11 minutes cost them when they failed to deal with a cross which Adam Dale put away for the opener.
Dawson said: “The reaction was good and we had a couple of half chances but four minutes before half-time we conceded a second in transition when we had good possession.
“We need to be smarter in these situations, more street-wise and perhaps take a yellow to prevent them countering. Other teams do it to us.”
Harry Dean grabbed the 41st second goal for Chadderton and four minutes into the second-half Dale netted his second.
Dawson said: “The third after the break knocked the wind out of our sails. We made changes to freshen up things but in truth we just huffed and puffed against a well organised team.”
Celtic are back in action on Wednesday night when they travel to Darwen who sit comfortably mid-table.
