What is the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show?

The Lakes Hospitality Trade Show is an opportunity for businesses from a range of industries the chance to come together to discuss innovative new ways to thrive in a climate of spiralling energy prices, rising inflation and increased costs.

The free event is an annual focal point for building professional relationships and showcasing new innovations, but it has taken on added significance this year with many businesses struggling to bounce back not only from the current economic challenges, but also the long-lasting impact of the pandemic on spending patterns.

Now in its 46th year, it promises something for everyone.

Who is it for?

The show will bring together not just hospitality businesses and suppliers from Cumbria and the North of England, but companies from an increasingly wide range of other industry sectors.

It builds on the success of last year’s show, which attracted 1,500 visitors and was described as the ‘biggest and best’ in its long history.

While primarily aimed at people in the hospitality sector, everyone is welcome to attend the free event.

Why should I attend?

James Tasker, owner of the Lamplighter Dining Rooms in Windermere and director of the Lakes Hospitality Trade Association, said: “We are now experiencing a new set of challenges, which are affecting every single product, department and team member in our businesses.

“What better environment than this free event to discuss issues and share solutions, view innovative new products in every field and discuss how these may benefit your business with industry professionals.

The show is all about making new connections, but equally importantly, reaffirming existing and sustaining longstanding relationships.”

What’s on offer?

There are more than 130 exhibitors showcasing a range of cutting-edge industry products and innovations – with a key focus on efficiency and helping companies make the most of limited resources.

Exhibitor stands include catering equipment, and food and drink suppliers, to IT technology, transport, furnishings, visitor attractions and professional services such as insurance, legal and financial support.
Here are just a few of the exhibitors lined up:

  • Bath House
  • Trendsetter
  • Grapevine Wineservice
  • Celebration Packaging
  • University of Cumbria
  • Natwest
  • Go Your Own Way Apparel
  • The AA
  • Pass the Keys
  • RNEW
  • Sensible Choice
  • Aha!
  • Vie’s Jamaican Rum Cakes
  • The Ro Hotel

What else will there be at the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show?

There will also be special masterclasses with industry experts and a dedicated first floor exhibition space for smaller and new businesses, along with a new exhibitor networking evening on the first night of the show – enabling them to build knowledge and forge new collaborations to help grow their businesses.

When is it held?

It will be held on Wednesday March 1 and Thursday March 2

Where is it held?

Junction 36 Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands, LA7 7NU

Is there parking?
