Cumbria will have four teams in tonight’s draw for the third round of the Challenge Cup.
Wath Brow Hornets represent the amateur ranks after their comfortable 58-4 win in Essex against the Brentwood Eels.
After their long trek on Friday, the Cumbrians were eager to get to grips with their hosts and quickly assumed control.
It was 34-0 before the Eels scored their only points just before half-time with an unconverted try from Callum Whitcomb.
By then Wath Brow were well in charge with six tries before the break, five of which were converted by Sam Curwen.
Gregg Howland led the way with a hat-trick of touchdowns and was joined on the score-sheet by Owen McCartney, Morgan McCourt and Jay Weatherill.
The second-half belonged mainly to McCourt who also bagged a hat-trick to take his tally for the game to four. Weatherill scored his second and Cole Walker-Taylor also crossed. Curwen added two more conversions.
Workington Town joined them in the draw with a clear-cut 68-6 win over amateurs Ince Rose Bridge.
Barrow and Whitehaven come into the competition for the first time along with the other Championship sides with the exception of Toulouse.
