Ullswater’s Another Place, The Lake, is opening a new community and private hire venue.

The hotel’s new Victorian-style Glasshouse is open to all events from yoga to craft retreats, family reunions and silent discos – but it’s also set to be a place for local residents too.

For the majority of the week, the venue will be open to hotel guests and the local community for woodfired pizza, coffee and cocktails.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, The Glasshouse will then become available for daytime and evening events.

Will Ashworth, Another Place CEO said: “We’re happy to provide the space, food, drinks, gardens, jetty, firepits, festoon lighting and inspirational views – and can’t wait to see the ideas people come to us with.”

The new venue can seat up to 22 people and has space for up to eight people plus an instructor for yoga or Pilates.

It also boasts underfloor heating, an outdoor dining area and firepit as well as a bar, coffee space and pizza oven.

Equipment and instructors for open water swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking are also available on site for hire.

The Glasshouse will be open midday to 5pm through winter and midday to 8pm through summer.
