
Police are investigating a spate of thefts in the west area of the city of Carlisle.
The most recent incident of theft from a vehicle took place sometime between the evening of March 5 and the morning of March 6 in the Moorhouse Road area of Carlisle.
Items were taken from the vehicle and damage caused to a seat.
Officers said the theft is thought to be connected to a spate of incidents in the west of the city with similar circumstances over recent days.
Residents are being advised to ensure that their cars and property are locked and secured, with no valuables on display.
