Cumbria County Cricket Club have entered into a three-year partnership with NV Play.
It means that all their home NCCA games – Championship, Trophy and T20 – will be live streamed through the Cumbria Cricket Youtube channel and Play Cricket Match Centre.
The live stream will be available by clicking through to the live scorecards of each of the home games.
The partnership will see NV Play become the county’s official technology partner and preferred live streaming provider. The partnership between NV Play and Cumbria aims to help enhance the digital profile of the national counties side.
NV Play’s award-winning cricket technology has been helping deliver the game at the highest levels for over 15 years.
The ECB’s Play-Cricket Scorer Pro (PCS Pro) platform helps drive high-end recreational and professional cricket across England and Wales, and is used by thousands of clubs and teams to capture tens of thousands of matches across the globe.
As part of the partnership, NV Play will be the County Club’s preferred streaming provider.
This means Cumbria Cricket Club will be investing in fully maximising their use of NV Play’s video capture tools, and through Cumbria Cricket Ltd will be promoting PCS Pro and NV Play Live Streaming technology to clubs and schools across the county.
Both the county club and Cumbria Cricket Ltd work closely together to create a coherent player pathway, through employment of a full-time male performance lead, to support players to reach their full potential.
It is hoped that using NV play’s world leading video analysis and high performance tools will enhance this joint partnership to fulfil ambitions in playing an important role in supporting, growing and developing the next generation of players to ensure the County’s continued success.
Clubs and schools can apply for funding to purchase the NV Play live streaming camera kits through the ECB’s County Grants Fund under the Creating Welcoming Environments funding category in the digitising section.
David Fallows, chairman of Cricket for Cumbria Cricket Club, said: “We are delighted to be partnering up with NV Play. As a widely recognised and respected company, NV Play will play an integral role in supporting the club to develop and deliver our performance and digital strategy.
“From a performance perspective, the technology will assist our analysis and player identification processes whilst enhancing our ability to develop talent.
“From a digital perspective, the technology will enhance our delivery of live streaming which will enable us to reach and engage with both current supporters as well as new audiences.”
