Video footage showing two Workington men after they carried out a brutal attack on two victims at a town address during the early hours of New Year’s Day last year has been released by police.
Jamie Elston and David Radcliffe are seen walking down a town street and hugging.
One man has been left permanently blind in one eye as a result of the vicious violence while the other suffered severe brain damage and was left in a persistent vegetative state, unable to speak.
The pair admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent, were classed as dangerous offenders by the sentencing judge and must serve extended five-year licence periods when their custodial terms come to an end.
