A Workington man has heard he could receive a prison sentence for burgling a house building firm’s town compound in a bid to steal.
Sean Ross, 32, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today.
During a brief hearing in front of a judge, Ross pleaded guilty to one offence of burglary. He admitted entering a Persimmon site, building and containers at Lakes Road in Workington as a trespasser with intent to steal.
The court heard his crime occurred on November 20.
Recorder Julian Shaw agreed to adjourn the case for a probation officer to interview the defendant and produce a pre-sentence report to assist the punishment process.
Ross, of Coronation Drive, Workington, is due to be sentenced at the crown court on April 28, and was granted bail in the meantime.
Recorder Shaw told him that all sentencing options — including a prison sentence — would be available on that date.
