An annual art exhibition showcasing the creative work of Carlisle’s Adult Day Services makes a long-awaited return next week.
The exhibition, which will take place at Carlisle Cathedral from Monday, April 17 to Monday April 24, is open to the public and is free to enter.
On display will be a range of paintings, drawings and other crafts, all produced by those who attend Carlisle Adult Day Services.
As one of Cumberland Council’s in-house care providers, the service helps adults with care and support needs to live the life they choose, and provides a range of activities including arts, crafts and other skills. The long-awaited return of the annual exhibition, following COVID-19, is an opportunity to showcase the best of the work they have produced.
The artwork is available to buy – with all proceeds going towards more art materials, such as frames, canvases and paint.
Annamarie Armstrong, manager of Carlisle Day Services said: “We have some really talented artists and we are all so proud that they have this opportunity to showcase their talent and hard work. We’re hoping that plenty of people take the opportunity to visit the cathedral and see for themselves what they’ve achieved.”
