West Cumbrian ace Dan Bewley picked up 10 points for his efforts in the first Speedway Grand Prix of 2023 in Croatia.
Bewley made the semi-final after winning three of his five programmed rides but from gate two didn’t make the start and missed-out on making the final.
The reigning champion Bartosz Zmarzlik went on to win the final comfortably from Bewley’s fellow British rider Robert Lambert with Sweden’s Fredrik Lindgren in third.
Bewley and Lambert had both won their first two rides to lead the field and eventually scored 10 and 11 respectively to make the two semi-finals.
