Workington Town have strengthened their squad by adding two forwards, one of whom has already had a successful stint at Derwent Park.
Hanley Dawson has returned to Town after leaving early last season to try his luck nearer home with Barrow Raiders.
But he has found first team opportunities limited and following his release has quickly aghreed to return to Town.
Joining him is another former Barrow forward Connor Terrill, who more recently has been playing in France.
Town coach Anthony Murray knows him well after taking him on loan two years ago when he was coaching North Wales Crusaders.
Murray is pleased to have both of them in his squad adding competition for places, and he is confident they will fit in well with the current group of players.
He said: “I had them both at Millom when I was coach there and tyo be honest I’m delighted to have got them both up to Workington.
“They are both great lads and as we need more competition for places their addition is perfect for us.
“Hanley was a key player for Town when they won promotion two years ago and I know all about Connor from Millom and his time with us at North Wales. He’s a player who is only going to get better.”
Town have not played for a fortnight and will be back in action on Sunday against Doncaster one of only two teams ahead of them in the table.
They have already played at the Keepmoat Stadium (now re-named the Eco-Power Stadium) in the Challenge Cup and were narrowly beat by a last minute try.
