Cumbria make two changes for their second game in the County Championship programme when they travel to play Northumberland at Morpeth on Saturday.
After a narrow 38-36 defeat at Staffordshire the Cumbrians need to win their two remaining games to have a chance of qualifying from their Pool.
Their hosts were beaten 30-12 by neighbours Durham last week so if Cumbria can win this one it could set up a deciding battle with Durham in their final game at Aspatria next week.
For this second game Upper Eden’s Oliver Bennett comes into the starting line-up on the wing and he takes the place of Penrith’s Jay Rossi who drops to the bench.
Kendal lock Alex Ryder, who was a late call-up last week, retains his place and club-mate Greg Wrathall is back on the bench after being ruled-out last week with food poisoning.
Cockermouth’s Mark Watson is also introduced onto the bench to give Cumbria three backs options among the replacements. Glen Chesher and Robbie Collinson, both of Kendal, miss out this week.
The Cumbria team is: Jamie McNaughton (Penrith), Oliver Bennett (Upper Eden), Leo Mercer (Kendal), Ryan Scott (Aspatria), Joe Beaty (Aspatria), Josh Ree (Kirkby Lonsdale), Ollie Rose (Upper Eden), Arran Sullivan (Aspatria), Tom Graham (capt Carlisle), Joe Anderson (Kendal), Matt Tindall (Firwood Waterloo), Alex Ryder (Kendal), Alistair Thompson (Kendal), Matty Houghton (Kendal), Will Addyman (Ilkley).
