
A busy summer of ground renovation work is to take place at Barrow’s SO Legal Stadium now the League Two season is over.
The club has been sharing plans for the additional seating to be installed at the Holker Street stadium for the start of the 2023/24 season.
The schedule of work is in place with contractors GL Events and HBP Ltd, with support from Gadsden Consulting and Tape Design Ltd.
The away end capacity will be increased to just under 1,000 fans, through the installation of 522 new covered seats in the North East corner of the stadium.
The club will also be installing 371 covered seats on the West Terrace for the use of home supporters.
Finally, the 2023/24 campaign will see the Steelworks End back in use again, as 196 seats are to be installed in the summer.
The club said: “These improvements will also include elevated wheelchair bays, as part of our commitment to improving facilities for all supporters at the SO Legal Stadium.”
