Workington Reds will come across some familiar faces when they resume playing in the NPL Premier Division next season.
Like Reds some have spent time in National North above and in the NPL Division One below since last they met.
It looks a strong League with Macclesfield and Warrington Rylands, the last two champions of NPL West, competing as well as Marine who beat Reds in the 2021/22 play-off semi-final.
Although the League structures have been released for the 2023/24 season the fixtures will not be released until later in the summer, possibly early July.
Reds longest trip will be to Basford, a northern suburb of Nottingham with Worksop, Stafford and Gainsborough other lengthy trips.
The Boxing Day derby, either home or away, is likely to be Lancaster which has provided seasonal entertainment in the past.
The full line-up is: Ashton United, Atherton Collieries, Bamber Bridge, Basford United, Bradford Park Avenue, FC United of Manchester, Gainsborough Trinity, Guiseley, Hyde United, Ilkeston Town, Lancaster City, Macclesfield, Marine, Marske Utd, Matlock Town, Morpeth Town, Radcliffe, Stafford Rangers, Warrington Rylands, Whitby Town, Workington, Worksop Town.
Meanwhile Runcorn Linnets, who lost 2-1 to Reds in the NPL EWest play-off final, have announced the departure of highly rated defender Sam Heathcote.
It was an own goal from Heathcote which put Reds level at Borough Park before they went on to win the final with an extra-time goal from Lerwis Reilly.
Heathcote had signed for the club ahead of the 2022-23 season from North West Counties League side West Didsbury & Chorlton and made 54 appearances across all competitions for the Yellows, scoring six goals.
“He is a big loss both to the team and the club but we are very grateful to Sam for his service and the way he has conducted himself during his time with us,” said a Linnets statement.
