Police have targeted anti-social behaviour and drugs in Millom in an operation.
The constabulary’s Copeland Neighbourhood Policing Team joined the force’s intelligence unit and taskforce in the town and on Tuesday, officers stopped a man driving who was disqualified. His vehicle was seized and he will appear in court.
Two people were stopped and searched for drugs and three cars were also stopped and searched.
PC Craig Treymaine, of the intelligence unit, said: “This operation was an opportunity to disrupt anti-social behaviour, criminal behaviour and gather intelligence in Millom.
“Anti-social behaviour has a detrimental impact on our communities, and we would encourage residents to continue to report incidents to us. We had officers in uniform and plain clothes as part of the operation.
“Intelligence was gathered and will help support our work in the area moving forward. This was just a small part of the ongoing work we are doing with partner agencies in the area.”
