Local accounting firm Saint & Co have announced the addition of two new partners to their now 11-strong partnership.

Sophie Graham joins the Saint & Co partnership after dedicating 20 years of expertise to the firm, most recently in her role as Audit Manager. Whilst involved in all areas of the business, Sophie provides specialist audit advice to academies and clubs, solicitors and businesses in the charity sector. She has twice served as chairman of The Cumberland Society of Chartered Accountants, most recently from 2020-2023, and is proud to mentor junior audit members through their training.

“Having trained and qualified with Saint & Co over 20 years ago, I was always proud of who I worked for. Now to be a partner and be more involved is something I have always aspired to.

“I am looking forward to working with Saint & Co’s partners to build on the long-standing relationships with clients, getting out there to meet local businesses and those in the third sector to provide the financial support and advice they need,” said Sophie.

Alex Dent joined Saint & Co in 2015, shortly after qualifying. Coming from a general practice background, she completed her chartered tax qualification in 2019 and has since built a wide and varied expertise in tax. She provides specialist advice to clients on the structure of their business to ensure maximum tax efficiency, as well as supporting the private client sector with tax planning, capital gains tax, trusts and inheritance tax.

“I am most looking forward to growing my role in the business, assisting individuals and businesses on all tax-related matters.  I am keen to help local businesses with their growth strategies, ensuring their needs and expectations are met whilst remaining tax efficient,” said Alex.

Part of the community since 1884, Saint & Co has 10 offices across Cumbria and South West Scotland.

They serve local businesses and individuals, providing accounting, tax, wealth and business advisory services. With over 100 staff, the Saint & Co team are passionate about providing all-around holistic support to their clients, helping business owners feel calm and reassured about their finances.
