
Two big names have been announced as the headliners for one of the official after-parties for a Whitehaven festival later this year.
Radio One DJ Charlie Hedges and Singer and social media sensation Tallia Storm will each perform a set at the official after-party of Whitehaven Alive’s Friday night on September 8 at Club 135 in Whitehaven.
Charlie is the new host of the UK’s biggest Dance Show BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthems every Saturday and has toured the globe playing some of the biggest dance events and festivals including a residency with Carl Cox in Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza, Global Gathering, V Festival, Pacha Ibiza, Isle of Wight Fest and a residency at BH Mallorca playing alongside Craig David, Duke Dumont, Steve Aoki, Axwell and Ingrosso.
Having conquered the airwaves and claiming the number one national commercial breakfast show in London on KISSFM, with its highest-ever reach of 2.2 million listeners, Charlie’s next chapter started in 2019 joining Radio One.
Singer/songwriter Tallia Storm has had over 270 million views on TikTok and is best known for being discovered by Sir Elton John at the age of 13 when she opened his concert in Scotland with five songs in front of 17,000 people.
A decade later and Tallia is here working harder than ever to be heard as an independent female powerhouse and has graced the big screen by starring on E4’s Celebs Go Dating & ITVBe’s Real Housewives of Jersey, cumulatively Tallia has over 1.5 million followers across social media.
Founder and executive director of Whitehaven Alive, Oliver Hodgson said: “We’re thrilled to announce our first official after-party for the Whitehaven Alive weekend. Bringing her passion and enthusiasm for dance music, Charlie Hedges will bring an electric and exciting atmosphere to DJ the night away and Tallia will bring her infectious personality and incredible vocals, to kick the party off.
“Charlie and Tallia will follow our earlier concert taking place on the harbour with Tinie and Sophie Ellis Bextor headlining our Mitie Main Stage. Our after-party will kick off from 11pm.”
Whitehaven Alive is set to be the biggest event of the year in Whitehaven, with a vibrant event village featuring 70 international brands and cuisines, and artists such as The Vaccines, Jake Bugg, Sophie Ellis Bextor and Tinie Tempah gracing the Mitie Main Stage on Whitehaven Harbour. The festival will be a celebration of music, lifestyle, and creativity, bringing the town to life 8th-10th September with the very best in live entertainment.
