Oscar Doran

Teenager Oscar Doran is back in the Whitehaven squad for their trip to Sheffield Eagles.

The young winger had to miss out the Summer Bash game with Barrow because of the head injury protocol but is available for selection again.

Injuries have blighted Whitehaven’s season again and coach Jonty Gorley is still unable to name a full squad of 21 for the game.

But he’s managed 20 now which is one more than he had available for the Barrow game, although all of those were not fully fit.

Sheffield have been able to name 21 for the game with Cory Aston back from suspension and Lewis Peachey also back into the squad after spending time on loan with Rochdale Hornets.

Whitehaven’s squad: Eccleston, Taylor, Teare, Dixon, Bishop, Walker, Holliday, Lanskey, Aiye, J. Doran, Newton, Tabu, Graham, Singleton, King, Castle, Rourke, Spencer-Tonks, O. Doran, Ainley.

Sheffield will pick from: Jones-Bishop, Welham, Oakes, I, Farrell, Douglas, Halafihi, Dickinson, Bower, J. Farrell, Hodgson, Wood, Broadbent, Kirk, Hansen, Peachey, Chrimes, Liu, Sene-Lafao, Dawson-Jones, Laula-Togaga’e, Aston.
