Detectives are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage as part of an investigation into a robbery in Carlisle.
The incident happened in St Nicholas Gate car park at around 12.30pm yesterday, June 6.
A man approached two men in a red Mercedes AMG. It was reported the man was in possession of a knife. The two men got out of the Mercedes and the man drove away in the vehicle.
The police national helicopter was called to help to search for the car.
No one was injured during the incident.
The vehicle was recovered yesterday evening at the city’s Freer Court, Carlisle.
Officers are appealing to anyone who might have witnessed the incident or subsequent driving of a red Mercedes AMG.
Police are also appealing anyone who was in that area at the time and may have dashcam footage.
