Although Carlisle Racecourse is into the final straight as far as flat fixtures go, there are still four more meetings to be staged.
One of the most significant will be on August 19 in which the Carlisle course will be highlighting the charity #TeenCYZ Campaign.
General manager Helen Willis said she was proud of the summer so far and excited for what is still to come.
Helen said: “We’ve had an amazing summer so far, and while we’re creeping towards autumn, we still have some fantastic flat fixtures to look forward to over the coming weeks, including our Carlisle Youth Zone Raceday, which takes place on August 19.
“Last year’s event helped to raise over £28,000 in support of the charity’s #TeenCYZ Campaign, and we are delighted to once again help them in their mission to raise further awareness and vital funds for the work that they do.”
The family fun day will see a number of free activities taking place for the whole family, including a jungle run assault course, bouncy castle and giant Jenga – with free entry to the racecourse for under-18s.
Helen added: “It’s the perfect way to spend a day with the whole family, with adult tickets available from £17 and children going free, with fantastic racing and an array of fun games and activities on offer.”
The August and September programme follows a busy summer at the racecourse, which has welcomed a mix of racing enthusiasts, families and first-time visitors through its gates.
Additionally, the course has hosted its most valuable card ever, after agreeing to house eight races from a rescheduled Haydock Park fixture, with prize money totalling over £400,000.
Further remaining fixtures include afternoon racing on August 11 and August 27 and the Andersons Flat Season Finale on September 9.
