The search is continuing for a lizard who escaped from a West Cumbrian garden last weekend.
Echo, a Tegu, dug her way to freedom from the garden of Siobhan Harkness, who runs Pet Encounter Cumbria, in Moorclose in Workington on Saturday.
Echo, who normally spends her days meeting and greeting children and animal-lovers at events across the county, escaped when Siobhan had taken her meerkat to the vets.
Cumbria Crack broke the news on Saturday night – asking people to keep a look out for Echo.
It was picked up by the national media and dozens of people have turned out to lend a hand – including West Cumbria Search and Rescue and police.
People have reported sightings of Echo but so far, Siobhan has had no luck.
Siobhan issued an update today, June 8.
She said: “We have been out again looking down the line, heading towards town at the back of Grasmere Avenue!
“One person yesterday and one today have heard a noise that they don’t recognise, and it might or might not be her, but we are hopeful.
“Echo can go a couple of weeks without food and left on a full belly. She will probably be looking for water now, and we are only guessing, but we think she is heading towards the town area, that if it is her.
“If anyone has a pool in your garden, please keep an eye as she might decide to have a dip in it.
This video is how she moves around and how low to the ground she walks.
Anyone who spots Echo is asked to call or message 07397 548 562. Spotters are asked to not pick her up and to keep her in sight and call the team instead.
