
A man has been arrested after police appealed for information about an incident involving horses around the fields near a South Cumbrian stables.
It was reported that a man was seen hitting, kicking, chasing and shouting at horses at stables on Chittery Lane more commonly known at the Little Hoad, on the footpath to the Hoad, Ulverston on June 15 and it was reported that when he was confronted, he verbally abused members of the public.
Officers are investigating the offence of causing unnecessary suffering to animals. The horses were not injured.
