Barrow’s first close-season signing Junior Tiensia has been telling fans through the club’s website what he’s all about!
The 22-year-old left-back joined Barrow at the end of May following the end of his contract with National League side Solihull Moors.
He told supporters: “As a person I’d say I’m very hard working, I’m very determined, I’m a loveable character in my opinion anyway, but I love spending time with my family and my friend and I’m quite down to Earth.
“As a player, I’m very strong, very quick, and love to get forward and I can also defend, love dribbling, love doing low crosses in the box, I’m just up and down the left-hand side really left back left wingback wherever I’m needed, anywhere on the left-hand side I’ll do a job there.”
He also revealed that his move to Barrow is something that has been bubbling for some time.
He said: “To be honest it’s something I’d say it’s been in the pipeline for quite some time, but due to certain circumstances it just hasn’t happened.
“But my agent got in contact and said Barrow are interested, so as soon as I heard we just wrapped it up as soon as possible.”
He went on: “The ambition of the club is something that really drew me to them. There’s a lot of young players and a good mix of older players with experience.
“This is a club that wants to achieve something and doesn’t just want to sit around in this league and actually want to compete and I’m a competitive person and the gaffer is a competitive gaffer and puts out teams that want to win.
“I really want to achieve promotion with the group, the group is still being put together as we speak but I do believe with the gaffer anything is possible.”
