Wigton Motor Club celebrated National Motor Sport Week with three well supported events.
The first was the July Cars and Coffee at the Club’s headquarters, the Motor House, where there were competition cars of various types on display and plenty of promotional material available.
Competitors were able to talk to new comers about the many types of motorsport on offer.
On Monday evening the club took 15 of its junior members under 17 to the Rowrah Kart circuit and treated them to a Let’s Go Karting session. Most of them were so keen, they paid for a second session.

On Sunday the Club ran a grass auto test aimed at newcomers and were rewarded with several novice competitors who enjoyed three tests run six times.
The Clubs next major event is the Cumbria Classic & Motorsport Show on August 23rd which has an entry of 856 cars and 41 clubs. This will include a Taster Autotest which is always very popular.
The event take place at Dalemain Mansion near Penrith, a couple of miles from J40 of the M6.
