A popular Workington restaurant, which closed suddenly last year, is up for sale for £750,000.
Caspian Flame Grill, on Derwent Howe, ceased trading on July 31 last year and went into administration.
Its fixtures and fittings – including its six delivery cars – went under the hammer last September and now the building is up for grabs.
It is being sold by Mere Commercial, which says planning consent was granted on July 26 2021 for the erection of a 350sq m store for purposes associated with the restaurant.
It has a 65-space car park and Mere Commercial says it suitable for refurbishment or redevelopment for a number of food, retail or other commercial uses.
In 2019, the restaurant was put up for sale for £1.75 million. At the time, 58-year-old Mr Padidar-Nazar said he wanted to retire at 60.
Owned by Sohrab and Valerie Padidar Nazar, of Rosely, near Wigton, the restaurant opened in 1998 and had been extended twice to keep up with demand.
The couple had operated a takeaway in the town from 1983 before moving to the purpose-built Derwent Drive venue.
The restaurant had latterly become Hooked and Plucked, specialising in fish and chicken, although Caspian Flame Grill continued to offer takeaway pizzas, burgers and kebabs.
