A Carlisle road will be closed so drainage work can take place.
The work, on Newton Road, is set to start on Monday, July 17 and is to be completed by Friday, July 28.
Work will take place from 8am to 4pm each day, said Cumberland Council, which is co-ordinating it.
The improvements will take place between numbers 265 to 291 Newtown Road.
A diversion will be in place while the road is closed, and this will continue over the weekend of July 22 and July 23.
The council is asking residents to find alternative parking and if residents or businesses require access to their property, they are asked to discuss it with a traffic marshal, who will be on site during the work.
