Emergency services were called by a woman who had become lost while out on a West Cumbrian shore.
The woman, in her 60s, called police just after 11pm, after becoming lost on the shore at Harrington. She was cold and wet and needed help, police said.
Police, Maryport Rescue, the North West Ambulance Service and Coastguard colleagues responded and the woman was found at around 12.35pm.
A police spokesman said: “She was wet, cold but uninjured – and left in care of our ambulance service colleagues who took her to hospital to be checked over.”
