A single off the final ball earned Workington a tie against Cockermouth Academicals in the latest West Cumbria Midweek League clash.
They had gone into the final over needing six to win, which was down to two off the last delivery when Graeme Bates was able to earn a single for the tie.
Earlier Workington had looked in trouble, losing their first four batsmen cheaply before being put back on track by Ben Scott (32ret), brother Robson Scott (31ret) and skipper Liam Irving (27no).
Chasing the Accies score of 112-4, they finished on 112-6 for a share of the points. Ash Neesham (2-6) was the most successful Cockermouth bowler.
In their innings the Accies were best served by Jack Bloomer (30 ret) and Samesh Rajput (21no) while Jack Williamson had achieved the notable feat for Workington of taking a hat-trick to dismiss the first three Cockermouth batsmen. He finished with 3-5.
