Dion Aiye is preparing for a landmark game tomorrow when Whitehaven face Sheffield at the LEL Arena.
The 35-year-old former Papua New Guinea international is set to make his 200th career appearance, the vast majority of which have been in Whitehaven’s colours over the last eight years.
Aiye is in a squad of 21 named by coach Jonty Gorley ahead of the clash with the Eagles, who have already been beaten on their own ground by Whitehaven.
The good news for Haven is that Perry Singleton is back in contention for election and Castleford loanee George Hill is also back in the squad.
Gorley will pick from: Eccleston, Taylor, Teare, Dixon, Holliday, Lanskey, Aiye, J. Doran, Newton, Tabu, Graham, Singleton, King, Castle, Rourke, Spencer-Tonks, O. Doran, Carter, Ainley, Hill, Groves.
Sheffield from: Jones-Bishop, Oakes, Thackeray, Douglas, Halafihi, Dickinson, Bower, Hodgson, Gwaze, Wood, Broadbent, Kirk, Hansen, Chrimes, Liu, Roberts, Sene-Lefao. Dawson-Jones, Laulu-Togaga’e, Aston, Glover.
