
Ten teams took part in the climax of the 2023 Cumberland Ability Counts League with Cup Finals in four separate competitions.
Since the season began in April, almost 100 players across the three divisions have played regular fixtures at the central venue at Harraby 3G, Carlisle.
The atmosphere at the monthly fixtures has provided a fun and safe environment for the players and volunteers.
With three pitches showcasing the matches, there was plenty of quality football played throughout the evening to determine the eventual 2023 champions!
Cumberland FA would like to congratulate the champions who received their trophies and medals from Scott Henry, the Cumberland ACL Chairman.
They were: Premiership Cup Winners: Carlisle Spartans; Championship Cup Winners: Workington AFC Marras; Championship Trophy Winners: Whitehaven Warriors; Super League Cup Winners: Carlisle Reivers Lions.
In addition Carlisle Reivers Cheetahs were presented with the Values Shield for displaying the best conduct in relation to the League Values on the evening.

The Cumberland ACL gave special thanks to the staff at Harraby 3G who have helped to provide a fantastic venue for the monthly League fixtures this season..
The League, which began in 2012 has provided players from across Cumbria the opportunity to play regular football in a friendly and safe environment.

The support from the volunteers has ensured The Cumberland Ability Counts League has run smoothly throughout the season.
The Ability Counts League are now on the lookout for new teams for the 2024 season, which is due to begin in March.

Cumberland FA would like to encourage any disability organisation, grassroots club or individuals who would like to get involved in the league, to get in touch!
