
A football fan will appear in court after a missile was thrown during Tuesday’s Carlisle United match against Wigan.
Connor Morris, 22, of Wellfield Road, Wigan, has been charged with throwing a missile at a football ground and possession of a pyrotechnic at a sporting event.
Police had made an arrest in connection with an offence allegedly committed in the away section of Brunton Park.
Over 1,400 Wigan fans travelled to Cumbria for the game, which finished 1-1.
Morris is due to appear before Carlisle magistrates on August 29.
