Kendal Town have put their new scoring sensation James Bailey on a contract after a superb start to his career at Parkside Road.
The former Walney Island striker has bagged nine goals in his first seven games for the club and has clearly created interest among clubs at a higher level.
Bailey had a fine scoring record with Walney Island last season and Kendal always believed he would be able to replicate that in the North West Counties.
He will lead the line tonight at Gigg Lane where the Mintcakes take-on Bury, back on their old ground this season and early favourites to gain promotion.
But it’s Kendal who are so far setting the pace at the top of the NW Counties Premier Division, unbeaten and four points clear of third-placed Bury but from a game more,
In between the pair are Wythenshawe Town who have won all four games so far in the League. Charnock Richard and Barnoldswick are also unbeaten but between them have drawn seven times.
