Workington RNLI rescued a sailor and their dog when their yacht’s engine failed.
The volunteer crew of the Dorothy May White all weather lifeboat were called out at 8pm yesterday, Tuesday September 12.
The yacht had got into difficulty about a mile south east of the Robin Rigg wind farm.
RNLI volunteers reached the yacht and towed it back to Maryport Marina, where they were met by Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team.
The Dorothy May White returned to the station at 10.30pm.
