
Coastguard teams from Cumbria are currently in Scotland to help people as Storm Babet rages through the country.
The east of Scotland is currently under a rare red weather warning due to the storm – and a woman has died after she was swept away in a river yesterday.
Volunteers from Whitehaven, Millom, Maryport and Furness Coastguard rescue teams are in the town of Brechin as part of the National Flood Response Team.
The volunteers are highly trained water rescue technicians and their expertise was called upon to help.
