Millom husband and wife team figure prominently in awards

The husband and wife partnership of Adam and Katie Young figured prominently in the 2023 Cumbria Region RPRA awards.

The Millom loft won two of the awards on offer and were runners-up in another section.

They took the Tom Pooley Cup for the old bird channel section and also the NPO Cup for the Combined OB section.

In addition they were runners-up in the Old Bird inland category.

John Devlin of Harrington Central won the OB Inland award and the Union Jack Trophy.

Ian and Denise Wood of Harrington were runners-up to the Youngs in the OB Channel section.

Chris Wilson and Martin Johnston of Workington won the Long and Small Trophy for topping the Young Bird category with Rodgers and Benn as runners-up.

The Tattersall NFC Cup went to A Graham and co of Cleator Moor with the Tattersall/Blacklock Cup for Service to the sport going to Mathew Varty, of Flimby.

The presentation will take place on December 9 at 2pm in the Union Jack Club, Workington.
