Northampton Town boss Jon Brady is backing his side to bounce back from a heavy midweek defeat when they take on Barrow this weekend.
The Cobblers host the Bluebirds in an Emirates FA Cup first round tie at Sixfields on Saturday, kick off 1.30pm.
He told the club website: “We’ve been in difficult moments before and we want to show a strong reaction on Saturday.
“The FA Cup is important to us every season and every club wants a cup run.
“A cup run can galvanise a football club and Saturday is hugely important to us. It’s important for us to bounce back from Tuesday and get back to what we do best.
“Barrow are having a good season in a tough League Two. They are a strong side and they are always hugely competitive. We know the challenge on Saturday will be tough but if we are at our best we believe we can get a result.
“On Tuesday night, at Derby, we were nowhere near the levels we’ve set ourselves and truthfully we were never really in the game.
“We were better than we showed, we were all below par and we are going to make sure we have a reaction to that on Saturday.”
