Almost 600 properties in Cumbria have been affected by power cuts today – including a town’s Marks & Spencer Foodhall.
Electricity North West said 391 addresses in Penrith experienced a power outage from around 11.50am yesterday, Monday November 6.
The power cut forced the M&S Foodhall on King Street to close, but electricity was restored by 4.25pm.
Meanwhile, 179 properties in Dearham, near Maryport, are also experiencing a power cut.
Electricity North West said engineers were on their way to mend the fault and it was hoped power would be restored by 6.30pm.
