Parkside suffered a setback in the Premier Division of the West Cumberland Sunday League.

The unbeaten League leaders were surprisingly held 4-4 at Moorclose by Bluebell who were well worth their share of them.

Greg Quayle, Carl Denver, Valter Fernandes and Steven Maxwell scored the goals for Bluebell with Callum Birdsall (2), Robson Todd and Jake Martin responding for Parkside.

That draw gave Northside renewed hope of catching their rivals after they had proved too strong for Moresby, winning 6-0.

Tony Berwick (2), Max Litt, Casin Pears, Jamie Bramley and Kyle Graham netted for the Workington side.

Thornhill, after their late start to the season, are battling on but suffered another heavy defeat. They lost 15-2 to Cosmos.

Lewis Park led the way with five goals and he was joined on the scoresheet by Rhys Singleton (2), Jamie Thursby (2), Dan Hill (2), Dean Fox, Dylan Elsworth, Kyle Newbiury and an own goal.

Owen Bell and Gareth Humphreys made sure Thornhill did have something to celebrate.
