
Parkside suffered a setback in the Premier Division of the West Cumberland Sunday League.
The unbeaten League leaders were surprisingly held 4-4 at Moorclose by Bluebell who were well worth their share of them.
Greg Quayle, Carl Denver, Valter Fernandes and Steven Maxwell scored the goals for Bluebell with Callum Birdsall (2), Robson Todd and Jake Martin responding for Parkside.
That draw gave Northside renewed hope of catching their rivals after they had proved too strong for Moresby, winning 6-0.
Tony Berwick (2), Max Litt, Casin Pears, Jamie Bramley and Kyle Graham netted for the Workington side.
Thornhill, after their late start to the season, are battling on but suffered another heavy defeat. They lost 15-2 to Cosmos.
Lewis Park led the way with five goals and he was joined on the scoresheet by Rhys Singleton (2), Jamie Thursby (2), Dan Hill (2), Dean Fox, Dylan Elsworth, Kyle Newbiury and an own goal.
Owen Bell and Gareth Humphreys made sure Thornhill did have something to celebrate.

In the other Premier Division game Lowca Pirates defeated Dearham Commercial 7-2.
Flying the flag for the Pirates were Owen Woodburn (2), Travis Fyfe (2), Shane Tyson (2) and Kian Goulding.

The Dearham replies came from Jack White and Danny Dryden.
In Division One there’s still no stopping leaders Sun Inn who were 3-0 winners against Salterbeck. Richard O’Keefe (2) and Mally Graham scored the goals.
Royal Oak were 4-2 winners at Swan with goals from Tom Stephenson (2), Brandon Tolson and Daniel Wilkins. Jack Pears and Shaun Patterson replied for the hosts.

It was even tighter at King’s Arms where the home side lost 3-2 to Seaton Rangers.
Dan Graham (2) and Guy Richardson netted for Seaton with Owen Adair and Jack Wordsworth on target for the King’s Arms.
