A MrBeast fanatic family from Carlisle have won £10,000 thanks to the YouTube megastar’s promotion with Spar.

Beverley Branch said she was over the moon to collect the cheque with her 11-year-old son James outside Spar Petteril Bank Road.

The pair regularly bought MrBeast’s Feastables chocolate bars inn Spar stores and played the Spinner Winner’game – where customers can compete online and in selected stores for a chance to win prizes daily.

Beverley said: “I am very happy to win the £10,000 cheque. I have never won anything like this in my life and it is life changing! Thank you Spar and thank you MrBeast!

“When I took the phone call to say I had won £10,000 I had to stop what I was doing at work. I could not believe it and I thought it was a wind up. Now it has sunk in, it feels fantastic.

“James my son is MrBeast mad and is an aspiring YouTuber. It started in lockdown, and he watches all his videos. The stunts are amazing to watch, and we all enjoy them.

“When the Feastables range became available in Spar he was so excited, and we were driving miles most days to other places in Cumbria and the North East get the chocolate bars for him and his friends. It is the most chocolate I have ever bought in my life, but it was definitely worth the effort!

“I think James will be adding one or two extra items to his Christmas list now, and it would be nice to go on a holiday with the money.

“My husband also wants to achieve the advanced motoring certificate so that he can begin volunteering with the Cumbria Blood Bikes.”

MrBeast is the most subscribed individual YouTuber globally with 204 million subscribers. He is known for his extreme stunts and philanthropic acts.

Fiona Drummond, company stores director at James Hall & Co. Ltd, Spar’s primary wholesaler and distributor for the North of England, said: “I would like to congratulate Beverley for being the £10,000 winner of Spar’s Spinner Winner campaign.

“It was a pleasure to meet Beverley and James to hand over the cheque and I am certain that the money has found its way to a worthy home!

“Spinner Winner was a hugely successful campaign for Spar, particularly with the younger demographic. It really did bring a point of difference to our stores and enabled us another avenue to connect with the communities that we serve.”

Over 250,000 people entered the grand prize draw.
