Vehicle set on fire after early hours crash in Barrow

Police investigating two separate collisions in the Barrow and Dalton areas are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The first incident was reported to police at around 3.35am today, November 30, and involved a vehicle which had crashed on Thwaite Flat Road, Barrow and was subsequently set on fire.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time.

Officers are also appealing for witnesses following a second single vehicle collision which happened on Railway Terrace, Dalton at around 6.15am today.

The collision involved a black BMW which collided with a brick wall and a fence.

In both incidents, police are concerned for the welfare of the drivers and believe they left their vehicle, potentially suffering injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collisions or has any information regarding the incidents should report online via www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit quoting incident number 19 of 30 November or call 101.
