A man has been charged after £6,000 and a large amount of cocaine were found in a car on the M6.
Colin Lewis, 44, of Elmfield Close, Thatto Heath, St. Helens, has been charged with possession to supply a Class A drug and money laundering.
He has been remanded into custody, to appear before court on January 5 2024.
Lewis was charged after a traffic stop yesterday when officers stopped the white Ford Fiesta near to Southwaite Services.
The seizure forms part of forms part of Operation Alliance – Cumbria Constabulary’s ongoing response aiming to protect the county against serious and organised crime.
