Now is the chance to give yourself a treat in time for Christmas – thanks to a new competitions site.

Want to win? There’s plenty on offer at Universal Competitions from a Dyson supersonic hairdryer to a Costa Blanca holiday to help the festive season go with a bang.

Simon Grisdale and Paul Slone, of Keswick, aim to offer big wins for small ticket prices and provide low odds competitions.

Just over a month old, at the moment, you can win:

  • A week in Costa Blanca + £3.5k of instant wins
  • Surron road legal e-motorbike or cash alternative + £3k of instant wins

Low odds competitions are:

  • Dyson supersonic hairdryer – 299 tickets only
  • LG 55″ TV with choice of Xbox X or PS5 – 699 tickets

All competitions will be drawn on Sunday December 10.

In the pipeline is Universal Competitions’ New Year’s Eve competition – a two-night stay for two people at the Lakes Hotel and Spa in South Cumbria, where the winners will stay in the penthouse suite and have full spa access.

Universal Competitions was prompted by Simon winning big 12 months ago.

He said: “I won a Mercedes car from a competition site this time last year after playing for a couple of months.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling winning a prize as I think most people enter thinking it’s not going to be their ticket and when your number comes up you can’t describe it.

“We want to give this kind of feeling back to our customers and let them experience it.”

Nicole Coulthard, of Penrith, who won Universal Competitions’ £1,000 giveaway for its launch!

Universal Competitions has also recently donated to hospice at home and Kidney Research UK on behalf of our winners and they plan to donate to charity monthly, which the last winner of the month will select.

Paul added: “We will also be holding free giveaways for customers who get involved in social media activities and alternate week /month draws – which we’re hoping to build to weekly draws.

“We are always on the lookout for new prizes too so if any local businesses or organisations feel they can get involved, we would encourage them to get in touch.”
