A Lake District hotel group has invested £15,000 to help its six venues sparkle this Christmas.

Lake District Hotels Ltd, which runs the Inn on the Square, Kings Arms, and Skiddaw Hotel in Keswick; Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa and Borrowdale Hotel in the Borrowdale Valley; and the Inn on the Lake at Glenridding, has spent the cash on exterior festive lighting.

Dani Hope, director of the firm, said: “We believe in creating magical moments for our guests and what better way to infuse the spirit of the season than by lighting up these locations with a spectacular display of dazzling lights.

“This investment reflects our commitment to spreading joy and we are proud to showcase some of the best lights in the whole of the Lake District.”

Every year without fail, hundreds of Christmas trees and decorations are curated and installed by a single talented Lake District Hotels employee, Tricia Irving, who is based at the group’s head office with a full-time role as a purchase ledger.

Tricia’s dedication and festive creativity were recently recognised when she received the Going the Extra Mile Award at the hotels’ third annual staff appreciation awards ceremony. This accolade highlights her outstanding efforts in bringing the Christmas spirit to life across all six of the group’s establishments.
