
Police are continuing their investigation into a suspected murder in Workington over Christmas.
A 33-year-old man was found dead on Christmas Day in his home on the town’s Clay Street.
A 38-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains on police bail.
Cumbria police said their enquiries to ascertain the exact circumstances of the 33-year-old’s death may take some time.
They added there were no other individuals related to the investigation.
Police were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service shortly after 5.55pm on Christmas Day.
Officers cordoned off Workington’s South Watt Street, just beyond the junction with Oxford Street to the junction of North Watt Street, Fisher Street and Falcon Place on Boxing Day as part of the investigation.
